Moving to Campus

All Emory Mail Services centers accept mail and packages beginning Saturday, August 1, 2026. Due to space limitations, all items sent prior to this date will not be accepted.

Atlanta Campus

All packages are located at the mail center in Few Hall, M-F 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., excluding holidays

Clairmont Campus

All packages are located at the mail center inside SAAC (Student Activity and Academic Center), M-F 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., excluding holidays

Oxford Campus

All packages are located at the mail center at 810 Whatcoat, M-F 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., excluding holidays; closed daily 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m.

YES. The student's name must always be on the package in addition to the MSC# to prevent mail being delayed or lost.

Parents mailing items direct from vendor will also need to ensure the student's name and msc# is including the shipping label. If that is not possible, please contact Emory Mail Services to put an alert on the package so that the package is assigned to the correct student.

  • Use your Mail Stop Code (MSC#) to avoid delays
  • Label ALL belongings
  • Use rigid shipping boxes
  • Remove all old labels before packing
  • Make sure contents are packed neatly and cushioned
  • Pack light
  • Use clear or brown packing tape (not scotch tape, masking tape, duct tape, or blue/ green painters' tape) to seal boxes (provide a link to examples?)
  • Print addresses neatly and completely on outside of all packages
  • Always include the return address

  • For convenience, temporary locations are setup for package pick-up only during the week and weekend of student move-in.
  • You will need your Emory card to pick up items that were shipped for moving into residence halls.
  • Carts will be available and must be returned.
  • POD locations are not accessible by vehicle. Please do not attempt to drive to PODS to pick up packages.

Student Move-In Package Pickup Information

To make move-in easier and more convenient, Emory Mail Services will offer temporary package pickup locations during the week and weekend of student move-in.

Before You Pick Up Your Package

  • You must present your Emory Card to pick up packages shipped prior to move-in.
  • All packages received during this period will be available for pickup at Few Hall.
  • Few Hall is NOT accessible by vehicle. Please do not attempt to drive to pick up packages.
  • This restriction is important for pedestrian safety and traffic flow during move-in.

Cart Checkout Information

Carts will be available to assist with transporting packages.

Please note:

  • Carts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Carts must be returned as soon as possible so they can be used by other students and families.
  • A driver's license is required to check out a cart.
  • Your driver's license will be returned when the cart is checked back in.

Woodruff Residential & Clifton Tower Residents

Students living in Woodruff Residential Hall and Clifton Tower will have a separate package pickup location during move-in.

Packages for Woodruff Residential Hall and Clifton Tower residents may be picked up during these designated times and location.

Important Reminder

Few Hall is NOT accessible by vehicle. Please do not attempt to drive to pick up packages.

Students and families should plan to walk to the pickup location and utilize the available carts to transport packages back to their residence halls.

Students requiring special assistance (as defined by Emory University policies) are encouraged to contact either Mail Services or the Department of Accessibility Services.

Any communication from Emory Mail Services will be sent to the students Emory email address.


Sending high value items

It is strongly encouraged not to send cash, checks, gift cards, phones, tablets and laptops to campus. If you find it necessary to do so, protect yourself by securing a tracking number, insure the package and actively track that your package arrived to the intended recipient.
