Moving to Campus


All Emory Mail Services centers accept mail and packages beginning Tuesday, August 1, 2023. Due to space limitations, all items sent prior to this date will be returned to the sender.

Atlanta Campus

All packages are located at the mail center in Few Hall, M-F 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., excluding holidays

Clairmont Campus

All packages are located at the mail center inside SAAC (Student Activity and Academic Center), M-F 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., excluding holidays

Oxford Campus

All packages are located at the mail center at 810 Whatcoat St., M-F 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., excluding holidays; closed daily 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m.

  • Use your Mail Stop Code (MSC#) to avoid delays
  • Label ALL belongings
  • Use rigid shipping boxes
  • Remove all old labels before packing
  • Make sure contents are packed neatly and cushioned
  • Pack light
  • Use clear or brown packing tape (not scotch tape, masking tape, duct tape, or blue/ green painters' tape) to seal boxes (provide a link to examples?)
  • Print addresses neatly and completely on outside of all packages
  • Always include the return address

  • For convenience, temporary locations are setup for package pick-up only during the week and weekend of student move-in.
  • You will need your Emory card to pick up items that were shipped for moving into residence halls.
  • Carts will be available and must be returned.

Students requiring special assistance (as defined by Emory University policies) are encouraged to contact either Mail Services or the Department of Accessibility Services.


Communication

Any communication from Emory Mail Services will be sent to the students Emory email address.


Sending high value items

It is strongly encouraged not to send cash, checks or gift cards to campus. If you find it necessary to do so, protect yourself by securing a tracking number, insure the package and actively track that your package arrived to the intended recipient.
